Looking for a decent open/free Linux solution for GUI based electronic simulation? I tried a few different apps, and found two I like:

qucs, opensource project,
and

LTSpice from Linear Technology, currently IV. LTSpice is a Windows app, so you will have to use wine to run it. I found that it installs and runs just fine though.
Both apps are pretty well polished and are similar feature wise. LTSpice seems to be a bit more stable and bug free, but qucs is pretty actively developed so I imagine it can only improve. LTSpice includes models for most of Linear's product lineup, but it also has most every generic object that you would need (resistors, caps, inductors, etc...)
Other software: gEDA and Berkley SPICE based software deserves mention, but I found them to be more user unfriendly.
